Caring for your sublimation mug or a mug gifted by your loved ones is very simple. Just remember a few rules and follow them to keep your printed mug looking great for a long time.
1. Use only liquid detergents. Do not use powdered cleaning products, as they can permanently damage the polymer coating on the mug.
2. Do not use metal brushes or scrapers when washing your sublimation mug.
3. Do not wash mugs with photos or logos in a dishwasher.
4. Do not use a mug with a printed image for heating in a microwave oven.
5. If, after long use, a yellowish coating from coffee or tea appears inside the mug, simply prepare a baking soda or citric acid solution, pour it into the mug for a few hours, and then wash it as usual.
6. For mugs with gold or silver inside, we recommend stirring with a plastic spoon instead of a metal one to avoid damaging the coating.
Following these simple rules will help you enjoy your sublimation mug and your favorite photos for many years.
The coating layer on the mug is a special paint that becomes transparent when heated. As a result, the image located under the pigment becomes fully visible. When the mug cools down, this unique coating gradually returns to its original color.
Features of sublimation:
1. The outlines of the image can be seen under the thermal paint. It’s best to choose black or blue mugs, as the print appears clearer on red, orange, or green ones;
2. The color of the image remains as bright and vivid as on regular mugs. The thermal layer becomes completely transparent, unlike thermal decal;
3. A special standard-shaped mug already coated with the disappearing substance is used for printing;
4. You can order any quantity of souvenirs, even a single piece. Such items make great exclusive gifts;
5. The fading effect occurs only at high temperatures.

Mugs: the most popular souvenir
A mug is such a dish without which it is almost impossible to do today. Mugs are in every kitchen, they appear at our workplace as soon as we go to work. Tea and coffee are drinks without which modern life simply cannot be imagined.
This is why mugs have become one of the most popular souvenirs. There are so many options today. Tall beer mugs are brought from Czech Republic, in Odesa you can buy a mug in the shape of the legendary fisherwoman Sonya. And mugs with views or names no longer surprise anyone.
Mugs are also used as corporate souvenirs. In this case, the company logo is printed on them, which makes the mug recognizable. Such souvenirs are used as gifts for clients and partners. This is an important step in the branding process.
Mug printing: how is it done?
The main requirement for images on dishes is durability. It is important that the printed picture or logo withstands washing, does not fade too much or scratch.
Today mug printing can be done using various technologies. First of all, this is screen printing. It is a fairly inexpensive way to apply images to dishes, especially if it comes to large print runs.
However, the most common way to apply an image to mugs and any other ceramics is decal. However, such a technique is the least economical. It involves certain manual work, as the image on the mug is performed on the principle of a transfer picture.
Mug printing can also be done using pad printing (this method is optimal for one- or two-color images) and sublimation. The latter method involves transferring the printed image to the mug using a heat press. This method is used for souvenir products with photographs because it is distinguished by its harmlessness and durability.
Corporate mugs (Kyiv)
Mugs with logos of various companies today can be found not only in offices. Employees happily take such souvenirs home, thus becoming advertising agents without realizing it.
Such mugs (Kyiv) serve as unobtrusive advertising and also allow you to form the image of a company as loyal and respectable. They act as gifts that are pleasant to receive, but that do not oblige you to anything.
Many tea or coffee manufacturers do not neglect this tactic. They complement sets with branded mugs, stimulate customers to collect souvenir collections. Such a tactic justifies itself, as it pleases customers. Who would refuse a stylish mug (Kyiv) at a price more favorable than in a dishware store?
Custom mugs as souvenirs
However, as gifts and souvenirs, custom mugs with original prints are used not only by beverage manufacturers and companies seriously engaged in branding.
Today, many companies are engaged in transferring any images, including photographs, onto ceramics. Such gifts are very popular due to their originality.
We should not forget about tourist souvenirs, among which custom mugs have long held a firm place. Souvenir mugs can feature a slogan, for example "I Love Lviv" or a photograph with a local landscape.
They are no less popular than mugs with logos of sports teams, musical performers, with the names of films and TV series. Such products always delight fans and, accordingly, always find their buyers.
